Hair Cut Day Gràcia
Inspired by 1970s Milan
From an empty rental space, soulless but full of potential, we had to create what would become the new Hair Cut Day.
Before
An empty rental space.
After
A glamorous and provocative hair salon.
This is one of our most daring and emotionally charged projects.
Architecture is what welcomes you into this first act.
Act I
The Awakening
This first act draws its inspiration from the creative language of Gianni Versace: chromatic intensity, theatrical character, sensuality, provocation and the ability to turn design into emotion. A tribute to a way of understanding design where emotion, luxury and spectacle coexisted with absolute naturalness. A space conceived to awaken the senses from the very first step.
The project takes shape through an unexpected melting pot of materials, where marble meets backlit glass blocks, the boldness of concrete block, the iconic ceramics inspired by Italian design of the seventies and eighties, animal textures and an intense colour palette that reclaims exuberance as a design language.
The reception and welcome cocktail bar thus become the first contact with the Hair Cut Day universe: a place where design, lifestyle and architecture speak the same language.
It is brutalist, eccentric, exquisite, glamorous and provocative.
In the new HCD, craftsmanship, luxury and technology coexist. A true melting pot of cultures, styles and eras, where creativity, emotion and lifestyle will reign.
Before
The journey changes rhythm.
Act II
Precision
This second act draws its inspiration from the creative universe of Giorgio Armani, where elegance is born from proportion, serenity and absolute attention to detail. In contrast to the intensity of the first space, here architecture deliberately lowers its volume to let the experience speak for itself.
The composition finds its balance in a perfectly ordered sequence of dressing tables, mirrors and lighting. Marble, leather, satin-finished metals and a palette of warm tones build a timeless atmosphere.
The salon thus becomes the heart of the project: a space where technical precision, well-being and architecture share a single philosophy.
Porque la true elegance never needs to draw attention.
After the precision and balance of the previous act, the journey deliberately breaks the rules to reclaim colour, geometry and expressive freedom.
Act III
Change of Scene
This third act draws its inspiration from Italian anti-design, a movement that challenged established principles to prove that design could also move, provoke and question. More than an aesthetic language, it meant a new way of understanding architecture and the object, where creativity reclaimed the spotlight over the norm.
The great mural turns the journey into an artistic installation that accompanies the visitor through a change of state. It is not only about connecting two spaces, but about transforming perception before entering the final act.
Light takes centre stage.
Act IV
The Ritual
Light, intimacy and silence build a deeply sensory experience.
The washing area is organised through dividers designed entirely by RITUAL. They incorporate a lighting system that directs light exclusively onto the hair, while the rest of the space remains in shadow and silence.

Behind the amber acrylic enclosures, the Color Bar remains present like a stage, like a liturgy. Movements, silhouettes and flashes of activity are sensed, but never the full process. Architecture does not hide what happens; it simply decides how it should be contemplated.

Here, time stands still.
