A stylish flat in Barcelona

🎥📼💿📺 It was the 90s, MTV music videos were the trendiest thing going and, on our first handheld consoles, we played a game called TETRIS. TETRIS is a game based on fitting together a series of different volumes, geometries and colours.

And this story we tell through interior design has a lot of that. A living/dining/kitchen space where a series of pieces of different geometry, colour and arrangement relate to one another. We created a base colour in the kitchen that goes unnoticed yet is very present, white… and from there everything flows towards the creation of a delicate space, super elegant, colourful and with a nostalgic touch, because there will be memories that carry us back to a better time.

Completing the design is the piece that wins you the game of TETRIS, that last piece you slotted in to clear the level. It's a walnut cabinet inserted vertically as a room divider. On it we watch the TV, we see what's happening through its open shelving, and on the back it becomes a handy spice rack for the kitchen. It's a piece that balances and ennobles the space just as it needed.

What's more, this project has a modest yet ambitious goal: to improve everyday family relationships. Not that they were bad — quite the opposite; a space like this could only be created for a wonderful, exemplary family. But we're sure that, through the reading of these new spaces, we can naturally improve relationships and the way we share time together, so that despite the pace of daily life we can feel the warmth of home and family.
