A 70-square-metre flat with the soul of 110

With Antonio and Pilar's 70 m² flat, I'm not sure whether we're looking at a success story, given what was achieved, or at a beautiful family story that lends it a patina of nostalgia and humanity.

This was Pilar's home when she still lived with her parents, and it went on being her mother's home until 2024, when Antonio and Pilar decided that, so she could enjoy her final years to the full, they would renovate her mother's flat while also turning it into a retreat where they could enjoy weekends together.

With such a lovely project ahead, the mother, in another act of generosity, gave up the master bedroom for the couple. In the prime of life, the vital need for wardrobes, shoes and a few indulgences only grows. You know how it is, many of us need 3 wardrobes' worth of "nothing to wear."

For the rest, and as far as what we do is concerned, we believe we're looking at a milestone.

It's not how beautiful it is, it's the magical connection whereby everything works, everything is considered, everything flows. The strange feeling of being in a flat that never seems to end, where every area is expansive, where what was once a dated 70 m² flat is now a 110 m² flat of the kind that makes you look good and takes 10 years off you.
