Jordi and Raquel got in touch with us — because YES 😊, but NO 😠, you know what I mean. And the thing is, renovating or building your home should be done with the next 20 or 25 years of your life in mind. One loose end leads to the next, and the next, and the next, until a moment comes when your own intuition — the one that marks out your path — tells you to stop. And they stopped. Well, they stopped and they got in touch with us.

They were building the house of their dreams, but inside them a conviction was growing that something wasn’t working. And it wasn’t working because it can’t work; not if some “nuisances” like us don’t stop to analyse your daily RITUALS; to know how you live, how you cook, what kind of shopping you do, what your work or your weekend is like. In short, letting us into your life as far as you’ll let us in, observing a great deal and intuiting, so that the vision of your home becomes an extension of your life.

With the functionality of the house resolved in the first stage of the project — where we pour our energy into solving the things “you don’t see” but that you feel day to day — we set to work on the style. The project drew its inspiration from nature, from the infinite palette of textures and colours that organic matter offers us and which, at the same time, makes no show of ostentation.

A central skylight, crossing the two floors, sets the luminous character of the home. Placing some long willow branches in the skylight lends the view a wild character from any point in the house. And from there, everything flows and everything connects…

Marbled and metallic finishes, woods, or the refined “comodoro” green in the kitchen, and the integration of linear lighting as an object of desire within the home. Overall, we’re looking at a home with a broad chromatic palette of materials and colours that relate to comfort. All of it over a neutral base that lets the play of textures emerge and brings the materials to life.
